A little more than a week has passed since Specter committed the Benedict Arnold of politics by switching parties. At that time, Specter reassured the voters of Pennsylvania that he would not lose seniority in the Senate, and that his constituents would still benefit from his tenure. Surprise, surprise. It turns out Specter is now the most junior Democratic Senator in the United States Senate. Are you really that shocked that the Democratic Party and Harry Reid reneged on their promise to Specter? Is he getting what he deserves?
